First and foremost, at Chapman House, you are NOT your Diagnosis!

You are a person afflicted with a disease or mental health issue or both. Therefore, you will never feel judged by our professional staff. Many of the staff here are in recovery themselves. Judgment STOPS at our door.

Next, what many people don’t realize, is that once a person stops drinking and/or using addictive substances; they no longer have an alcohol or drug problem, they have a LIVING problem! That’s where Chapman House excels. We don’t sit around reminiscing about the “good (bad) ol’ days,” but rather, we teach people how to manage their lives. Whether its drugs, alcohol, mental-health issues or a combination, Chapman House can and will, help you to deal with your issues, and get your life back!

Tim Chapman’s Theory of
A-R-T OF RECOVERY© 1999

Chapman developed this theory in 1999 after twenty years of research and practice in over 5 hospitals and 7 outpatient clinics from California to Hong Kong. He realized there were certain elements of recovery that if one realized and practiced; they would have a simple guide to help shed their addiction and achieve recovery.
